A BIG CONGRATS to my favorite New Mexican musicians, Los Primos, who were voted BEST MARIACHI by their growing legion of fans and honored last night by Albuquerque the Magazine at the big "Best of Albuquerque 2006" bash. What a thrill to see them take the stage, winning even more fans and attracting couples to the dance floor who couldn't resist their festive and romantic Spanish folk songs and their eclectic assortment of golden oldies including "Sleepwalk" and their always winning take on Richie Valens golden oldie "Donna" and "In the Still of the Night."
I am so proud of these guys!!
